During the tour, I was enlightened to find out about one of the many things that FSU has to offer me. I was blown away by just how many different pieces of tech they had equipped themselves with. I got to see, not only what we had, but how they can be used for things that I had never previously thought possible. One of my favorite pieces of tech I got to try was the focus headbands. The headbands would sense blood flow and use that to determine just how calm and/or focused the user is. The band was connected to an iPad where students can play games that would require focus or require they they stay calm. I found that it would be incredibly useful for teaching students with ADHD. At the beginning of the year, the teacher/paraprofessional could sit down with the student and run through the games to find out what keeps them the most focused. The info gathered could be transferred to lessons to ensure maximum progress from every student

While searching the CPALMS website, I found standard SC.4.CO.1.2 which asked that students create and edit multimedia artifacts using digital tools. The idea of this standard is that students are well-versed in picture and text editing software. I feel like I am able to teach a lesson like this because of my previous experience with editing software. I have used websites like Pixlr and Canva that have made me ready to put these skills to use. I do think I'd need some time beforehand to brush up on all of the tools offered by said websites to ensure that I am best prepared to teach the students.

In a standard for a 4th grade math class, I found that there were so many resources offered to teachers. Within the resource tab, there was a formative assessment, 3 lesson plans, 2 tutorials, 3 problem solving tasks, and a video showing a teaching strategy for that specific standard. these resources would be insanely helpful to teachers who need help with select parts of the standard, or even the entire standard. There were enough resources provided that a teacher could go in with no plans and teach the entire lesson. I could very easily use these resources to craft a perfect lesson for my students, changing things based on the needs of my students. By breaking down the different lesson plans, I could make one lesson that is comprised of the best parts of each plan.
