During the tour, I was enlightened to find out about one of the many things that FSU has to offer me. I was blown away by just how many different pieces of tech they had equipped themselves with. I got to see, not only what we had, but how they can be used for things that I had never previously thought possible. One of my favorite pieces of tech I got to try was the focus headbands. The headbands would sense blood flow and use that to determine just how calm and/or focused the user is. The band was connected to an iPad where students can play games that would require focus or require they they stay calm. I found that it would be incredibly useful for teaching students with ADHD. At the beginning of the year, the teacher/paraprofessional could sit down with the student and run through the games to find out what keeps them the most focused.
